Kanye & 50 Goin At It Again?

We all remember this past year's big controversy of release dates between rappers Kanye West and 50 Cent. Rumors were surfacing of a possible deja vu this year as both artist's albums were set for release in December. Don't get excited yet though. Kanye West stated a couple days ago in his own blog that he shifted his release date to November. Sorry for everyone who wanted to see 50 get crushed in album sales again but that was a one time thing. Kanye's explanation in the blog for the decision is that he just wants people to hear his music sooner. Oh well, you can still look for Kanye's album, 808's and Heartbreak in November (no date yet) and 50 Cent's Before I Self Destruct on December 9th.

Left Eye New Album to Drop Soon?

What started as just rumors are seeming to become more true about the late, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez coming out with a new album possibly this year. I have yet to hear many people's opinion about this. I think its a great thing, but I never pictured it actually happening. Hopefully the new album will do justice to the late hip hop diva. some rumored features include talk of Tupac Shakur, Lil Mama, Chamillionaire, Missy Elliott, TLC, Wanya Morris of Boyz II Men, Free, Bobby Valentino, and Left Eye's sister, Reigndrop Lopes to be on the album. What I want to know is if it will showcase the same recycled lyrics from the past, or will it reveal new material recorded but not released until now. And if the album does come out, what are the chances of Aaliyah coming out with another album? No one knows as of now, but it would be great to hear something new from the angelic voices taken too soon.

Hip Hop Frauds

I was reading XXL Magazine the other day when I read this article about how supposedly, there are pictures of Rick Ross as a prison guard floating around the internet. Supposedly the picture exposed a young, beardless William Leonard Roberts (Rick Ross) when he worked at a corrections facility in Florida years ago. Now I'm not sure if the picture is real or if its him for that matter, but Rick Ross is denying every word. He claims the pictures had to be photoshopped somehow. Either way the picture is posted here for you to decipher yourself. All I know is I'm tired of these rapper's lying about who they are and what they did in their past. For instance, do some research and find out why they call Plies "Lies" around his way.

Yung Berg's Chain - Who Has It?

If you follow hip hop closely, you will know that supposedly Yung Berg had his chain stolen a while back. You know, the gigantic Transformers Autobot chain seen in "The Business" music video. Well, for a while, people have been trying to figure out who might have gotten it from him. First someone said Bow Wow had it, but why would he want it, let alone steal it from someone who has less money than him? Well as i looked on this website, I saw this picture and there's a rumor that it is Detroit rapper Trick Trick's daughter with Berg's chain. Now it's possible that this is all a fluke or a stage put together by Trick Trick to sell records or anything else. I'm just telling you what I hear and see, so what do you think?

Wayne Seeks More Collabo's

Rap artist Lil Wayne is very pleased with his success on "Tha Carter III". However, it doesn't seem like he will slow down anytime soon. According to an interview on allhiphop.com, Lil Wayne seeks collaborations with an underground artist named Jay Electronica, and more importantly, Eminem. Now personally, I'm starting to get a little tired of Wayne, but I might be looking foreward to a Lil Wayne and Eminem track. Post comments and let me know what you think about it.

Worst Rapper Ever

Shawty Lo, Shawty Lo, Shawty Lo. One of the newest up and coming A-Town rappers, Shawty Lo has easily made his way out of D4L's background and into his own spotlight. However, I cannot find one person who takes this guy's lyrics seriously. This dude should own the XXL magazine's "step your rap game up" section. Half the time I can barely tell what this man is saying on a song. But I checked it out and knowing what he's actually saying doesn't do him justice. Want to see for yourself? check out the lyrics to "Dey Know".
